I am in Florida on holiday with extended family and close friends following our son’s wedding. In our 2 rented houses the ages range from 4 to 67. Naturally there is a wide range of food preferences, activity choices and bedtimes.
On the Gulf coast beaches and the acres of Universal studios, visitors from many countries, political views and cultures share laughter and conversation while enjoying the sights and sounds and seeking similar experiences.
In my opinion, it is time to end the debate and conversations in boardrooms about bridging a gap between millennials and baby boomers. The noted differences often have little to do with generation and more to do with diversity of experiences, education and opinions.
Let’s seize the opportunity to build on the varied experiences, disciplines and insights to become even better leaders of more cohesive and high functioning teams. Our companies will be stronger and our customers will be better off.
