100 years have passed since the end of World War I. Following these many years of peace; I fear that growing dissension in North America is evidence that we have forgotten how precious peace is and how many lost their lives to protect us and our liberties.
As we observe, Remembrance Day and Veterans Day let’s pause to give thanks to our military. Like so many brave men and women, my grandfather and father-in-law fought for our freedom. My father spent years in the Air Force. I am eternally grateful to all who served and serve today so that our children and grandchildren live in safety.
It is healthy to have debates and differing opinions. But let us never squander the hard-won peace and prosperity in our countries because we have simply become somewhat removed from our past.
