Compress Your Schedule and Free Your Creativity - Lorraine Moore

When we work many hours and think, “I just need to send one more email or I just need to make one more phone call,” we drift through our days in a way that is less powerful.

When we have limited time, we feel constrained so we ensure that we complete our most important priorities first. We do them before anything else and before we run out of time. In fact, we’re more impactful and we have more energy thereby creating better results in less time.

Where can you compress your schedule to create a little more urgency and energy around your priorities?

And it’s not all about getting things done.  You know how ideas come to you when you’re in the shower? The best ideas come to you in the shower because you’re giving your mind time to be free and to wander.  That’s why meditation is so incredibly beneficial.

Neuroscientists have shown us that centuries of practice is grounded in research.  10 minutes a day of using an app like Calm or Headspace or just doing meditation on your own allows that part of your brain that’s creative and artistic to come to life.

How are you using your time? Could you work less and still address your priorities? With this “found time” you could enjoy letting your mind wander freeing your mind and creativity.
